Richard Schalij is well known in the Dallas real estate market, even his last name is real estate related; "Schalij", is pronounced just like the French word "chalet" and has the same meaning, an alpine bungalow, or small house on snow covered mountains.

Richard shows properties to his clients by appointment 7 days a week. He believes that his clients deserve an experienced local Realtor representing them, especially first time buyers. Richard is very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods of Dallas and surrounding areas. Richard attends city council meetings and local events on a regular basis to make sure he has his finger on the pulse of his marketplace.

Richard provides his clients updated market information on a regular basis,usually via email, he can start sending you property information, photo galleries of listings, and recent sales information as soon as you contact him. Richard has full Realtor level MLS access at all times.

Richard is also the HOA president of his own home owners association in Lakewood, a beautiful and very desirable part of Dallas, next to beautiful White Rock Lake in East Dallas.

Richard was also a designated co-chair of the Oak Cliff / Kessler Park MLS meetings for 2007.

When Richard is not showing property he is probably negotiating
contracts for his clients, or arranging inspections and repairs, or just making sure that your closing/move-in will go smoothly.

Richard also has extensive knowledge of the finance environment and he has his trusted preferred mortgage lenders available to provide excellent finance services to his clients.

Richard completed his HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Business Management and Marketing at Exeter Business School in Devon, England, UK. He has served on committees for the Dallas Area Board of Realtors including Forms and Contracts, Leasing and Property Management committees, and is currently serving on the Government Affairs Committee.

Richard has affiliations with many real estate organizations. He has been certified as an accredited buyer's agent by REBAC. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors, Metro-Tex, MLS, Preservation Dallas, TREPAC 99 CLUB, and many other related organizations.
